About Rose Kitney

My goal as trustee is to enable students at all levels to succeed by meeting their individual potential. For every child there is a path to success.

My three sons are proud Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ District School Board graduates, and their experiences and successes have bolstered my strong belief in public education. I bring a business world perspective to the board table and despite my years of experience as a trustee, I continue to appreciate the governance role, proudly representing constituents at the board table and recognizing that decisions need to be made in the best interests of all Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ students.

I am a strong supporter of special education, parent involvement and school councils. I am specifically concerned for children with special needs. We need to remind ourselves, with the proper tools all children can learn and be successful.

I am very proud of the accomplishments of our board, and particularly of our students, however we must never settle for the status quo, but instead consistently seek out opportunities for improvement.

I welcome input from parents and community members in order to better serve the needs of students at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ District School Board.
